چکیده
A laboratory experiment was conducted at Post Graduate Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Entomology, College Agriculture, Latur, Maharashtra, India during 2017-18. Resistance to five test insecticides viz., chlorantraniliprole, cyantraniliprole, emamectin benzoate, indoxacarb and spinosad investigated against H. armigera infesting chickpea from different locations Western Maharashtra (Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Nashik, Pune, Sangali, Satara Solapur). Results revealed that, Solapur recorded 7.00-fold resistance 15.8% EC which higher than other field populations armigera. The ratios varied greatly among the high factor all 7 that development decreased susceptibility low level this insecticide whereas chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC, cyantraniliprole 10.26% OD, benzoate 5% SG 45% SC found be toxic.

Expression of a Chimeric Gene Encoding Insecticidal Crystal Protein Cry1Aabc of Bacillus thuringiensis in Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Confers Resistance to Gram Pod Borer (Helicoverpa armigera Hubner.)
Domain swapping and generation of chimeric insecticidal crystal protein is an emerging area of insect pest management. The lepidopteran insect pest, gram pod borer (Helicoverpa armigera H.) wreaks havoc to chickpea crop affecting production. Lepidopteran insects were reported to be controlled by Bt (cryI) genes. We designed a plant codon optimized chimeric Bt gene (cry1Aabc) using three domains...
متن کاملEvolution of Resistance by Helicoverpa zea (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Infesting Insecticidal Crops in the Southern United States.
We created a deterministic, frequency-based model of the evolution of resistance by corn earworm, Helicoverpa zea (Boddie) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), to insecticidal traits expressed in crops planted in the heterogeneous landscapes of the southern United States. The model accounts for four generations of selection by insecticidal traits each year. We used the model results to investigate the inf...
متن کاملEfficacy of Some Synthetic and Biopesticides Against Pod Borer, Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) in Chickpea
Efficacy of some synthetic and biopesticides against pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) damage in chickpea was studied at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Ishurdi, Pabna, Bangladesh during rabi cropping season of 2004-05. Synthetic and biopesticides reduced pod borer damage significantly. Significantly lowest pod damage was observed in cypermethrin (5.75%) and HNPV (5.86%) spra...
متن کاملInsecticidal activity of Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Bh1 against Ostrinia nubilalis (Hubner) (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) and other lepidopteran pests.
Bacillus thuringiensis is an important source of insect resistance traits in commercial crops. In an effort to prolong B. thuringiensis trait durability, insect resistance management programs often include combinations of insecticidal proteins that are not cross resistant or have demonstrable differences in their site of action as a means to mitigate the development of resistant insect populati...
متن کاملMarker assisted characterization of wilt resistance in productive Chickpea genotypes
Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris is one of the most wide spread disease of chickpea (Cicer arietinum). Studies indicated two major independent loci H1 and H2 determine the resistance to race-1 in chickpea. The dominant alleles at both H1 and H2 loci result in susceptible early wilting and recessive at any one (h1h1H2_ or H1_h2h2) produce susceptible late wilting and rec...
